Near futuristic HK enviro

Here's an environment concept of a Hong Kong street scene I started months and months ago, but had left unfinished. It is for an original story I'm developing. I finally got back and finished it this past month! Also, I think my studio mates are getting sick of seeing it... so time to put it aside. ^_^

A few friends asked me about the process for this; I did start it out with a photo base for perspective purposes, mostly using my own pictures from Hong Kong and Taiwan. (I would post the raw composite if I still had it.) I have the linework posted a few entries back. :)

I think I used 20-30 photos, with different floors and doorways all being cut from different references, etc; and a few buildings in the farground were actually steel beams.
