Patreon, Gumroad, store, and new comic... ooh so much is going onn

Hola amigos, I now have a Patreon site, as well as a Gumroad! Also, in addition to the Society6 and Redbubble accounts I opened before, I have a bona fide real store where I am selling original art and books now.
Whoopeedooo  :D
You can pledge to my Patreon on a monthly cycle; the pledge amounts start from $1 and can be any amount you wish. Depending on your pledge level, you can get anything from behind-the-scenes sketches and early looks at the comics that I release, to layered PSDs of my illustrations.

My plan this year, and hopefully beyond (if the ideas keep on coming), is to make lots of short comics and books. If you could support me in making these stories, whether through Patreon or by buying the completed comics, it would mean the world to me. I want to make the best comics I possibly can, and I'm really excited for all of these projects!!

Unfortunately this means that my webcomic Shaman Child might be put on hold for a while, but I believe this is the right way to go. I haven't quite been in the headspace for Shaman, and I recently suddenly came up with a load of short comic ideas; plus, it's always good to have finished, complete books under your belt, so I think these smaller projects are the way to go.

I am already currently releasing the first of these, a comic called "BEADS". You can keep up with the story here. The story is divided into 5 sections, so on every Monday for the next 5 weeks I will be releasing one part of it. The physical book and the PDF download are already available for preorder on my Store and Gumroad, respectively; the content will ship when I am done releasing all the sections, in March.
Thanks, and I hope everyone has a lovely end-of-winter! :)

Badass Women in History artbook preorders!

Oooyy so my Badass Women in History artbooks are now up for preorders!
It will take a while to proof and get to me, but all books are scheduled to ship before the end of November. The artbok includes the 32nd drawing that I haven't released, which is Hatshepsut, and also has an option for a custom sketch on the back page.

P.S. If I can get preorders, I'll be more accurate with the printing quantity and we won't run out of stock ;P So order early~!

Here is a preview of the cover and some interior pages.

Inking demo: Queen Elizabeth I for Inktober

Hey everyone, the process recording I made for my Inktober Elizabeth is up!! Check it out!!

It's my first time doing process recording for traditional work. I
think some improvements with the angle and a new tripod might help...
but it's a noble first attempt. ;P

Inktober project: Badass Women in History pt.1

If you've been following me on my other sites, you might have seen that I'm doing a Badass Women in History series for Inktober!!
There's going to be one drawing every day for the rest of October; then I'm going to compile the whole project into an artbook, with biographies on each person. The book will be in both digital and physical formats, and is going to include some entries that I won't post publicly anywhere on the internet! (One extra character for digital, two for the physical book.)
Here is the first half of the project:

The book will be up in my brand new store around mid-November. Be sure to stay tuned for it!

Robot & spaceship & animation wheee!

Here's a space illustration that I've been working on for quite a while.
I made a little loop animation from it. It's simple, but I'm pretty happy with it; I haven't animated anything in years!
(If  the GIF doesn't work on Blogger, here's a link to the Tumblr post.)

Also, have a robot for bonus. ^_^

Fashion illys... whaaaat.

Here's some work very atypical of what I usually do :P
I was commissioned by a friend to draw sketches for her clothing designs. It was a rather different kind of illustration work, but I like how they turned out!

CHEW pin-up

This. Series. ROCKS.
CHEW has been one of my favorite ongoing reads for the last couple of years. Not the same art style as me, but that just means I could have fun interpreting the characters with my style! I loved drawing it!

Apologies again for the interval. I was in Shanghai visiting some friends for a couple of weeks, so couldn't really post much from there. But here's a quick summation of what most of my trip was like:

Haha.
Cheers :)

Oppan Tetsuo Style

Tetsuo is joining the party, gooey flesh blobs and all! :D
Drawing I did as a gift for my friend Joe Peacock (I guess he's also supposed to be my boss.. yeah), who is a rabid AKIRA fan.

Tombow markers (I don't care what you say about Copics. Tombows rock.) and Microns on bristol.
